Alexandria University Council agreed at its meeting held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, headed by Dr. Rushdi Zahran, president of the university, to approve a new Master's degree in "techniques and materials of renewable energy" - credit hours system at the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research.
In another context, the university president praised the experience of the Faculty of Science in the application of solar-lights, and called for the dissemination of this experience at faculties and institutes of the university to provide electrical power
