AU participates in 120 operations for ophthalmology operations in Kenia
AU President Dr. Essam El Kurdi has recently received the mission headed by Dr. Ahmed El Masry that shall travel to Kenia within a convoy for community service for one week and to perform 120 surgical operation in ophthalmology.
Dr. Kurdi emphasized the university concern about the state instructions to support the African countries through medical convoys and establishment of hospitals in some countries in addition to providing training for young doctors. He also announced for a medical convoy to Guinea Conakry in coming October followed by another one to Tanzania.
Dr. Abdel Aziz Konswa said that the convoy consists of 7 Professors and 13 assistant with prompt tools and equipment required for surgical operation.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ibrahim Rehab the Advisor of AU President for African affairs.
AU participates in the cooperation program between Egypt and Mauritania for higher education
The Council of Graduate Studies and Research of Alexandria University headed by Dr. Mokhtar Yousef adopted the university nomination for the executive program between Egypt government and Mauritania government for cooperation in higher education field 2017-2020.
AU Vice President: preparing graduate studies agenda for marketing around the world
Alexandria University Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Dr. Mokhtar Yousef declared that the university is preparing an index containing all Diploma, Masters and PhD programs provided by Alexandria colleges and institutes to represent the university capacities for marketing around the world.
Agreement between AU and University of California
The Council of Graduate Studies and Research of Alexandria University headed by Dr. Mokhtar Yousef adopted the proposed agreement of cooperation between Alexandria University and University of California, Devise (Global Study Program).
Initiating new programs and a department for Chinese language in Alexandria University
AU President Essam El Kurdi announced for initiating new programs in the academic year 2018/2019 for under graduate level. The Faculty of Arts will start the program "Juridical phonetics and linguistics" as the first one in Egypt and Arab countries as a collaboration between the Faculty of Arts and Law.
He added that the study of Chinese language will start during the current year to provide the labor market with qualified personals to work in translation, education and media. The study in "industrial engineering" program will also start in the Faculty of engineering.
