"El-Kurdi" launches Alexandria University initiative to stimulate the internal tourism
Dr. Essam El-Kurdi AU Vice President for Community Service and Environment Development, urged faculty deputies to call faculty members, students and employees to participate in stimulating the internal tourism and visiting monuments and tourist attractions of Sinai, Nuweiba' and Taba.
The Community Service and Environment Development Council congratulated the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Higher Institute of Public Health on the occasion of obtaining accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.
The Council also approved the draft research submitted by Dr. Mustafa El-Neanay from the Faculty of Engineering, entitled ”Implementation of a cooperative environment for the researches of communications and wireless networks". The project is funded by the National Telecom Regulatory Authority to implement cooperative environment to be available via the Internet for all Egyptian researchers in the field of communications and
wireless networks as well as providing educational environment to be used in teaching courses of communications and wireless networks.
The Council adopted 2016/2017 Activity Plan of community service and environment development in the Faculty of Arts.
Headquarter for the National Authority for Social Insurance at the University of Alexandria
Alexandria University Council reviewed on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, headed by Dr. Rushdi Zahran, president of the university, which has been developed at the level of services provided to faculty and university employees, where it has been set up headquarters for the National Authority for Social Insurance at the Youth Welfare Department in front of the Faculty of Engineering.
The Council also reviewed the future planning for faculties of Alexandria University; such as: Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Fine Arts, kindergarten and Specific Education.
Alexandria University honors the name of the egyptian scientist / Ahmed Zewail in the Diamond Jubilee celebration, next year
The University of Alexandria honors the name of the Egyptian scientist / Ahmed Zewail, in the Diamond Jubilee celebration, next year, under the supervision of Dr. Essam Kurdy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Acting Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research. This honor comes in recognition of his career and his bid for the service of science and humanity.
Appointment of Dr. Mohamed Ismail as AU Vice President for Matroh branch affairs
The Prime Minister Eng. Sherif Ismail issued a decision to appoint Dr. Mohamed Ismail Abdo the Dean of the Faculty of Science to become Alexandria University Vice President for Matroh branch affairs until retirement age. Dr. Ismail will be the successor of Abdel Karim Abaza who reached the retirement age on 31st of July.
Finishing all procedures of transferring between faculties within the first month
Alexandria University Council for Education and Student Affairs during its session on Monday 22nd August 2016 headed by Dr. Hisham Gaber decided to finish all transferring procedures of students between faculties within the first month of the academic year. Dr. Hisham called all faculty members to attend consistently in the campus and to communicate with students and encourage them to involve in students activities. He also called to prepare the Student's Guide to inform new comers about various faculties and its divisions in addition to student's rights and duties.
