Alexandria University launches medical conveys to number of African countries
Alexandria University attaches great importance to Africa to support Egypt’s role in the African Continent. Dr. Alaa Ramadan, Vice president of Alexandria University for Environment Development and Community Services announces that the university will organize conveys to number of African countries like Ghana, Tanzania and Tchad in Ophthalmology. The university also will hold international conference entitled “Egypt and Africa in a changing world” in the first week of next November.
Alexandria University discusses establishing new hospital in Tanzania
The President of Alexandria University Dr. Essam El Kordi receives the Ambassador of Tanzania in Cairo Mr. Isa Suleiman Mansour to follow up cooperation plans between Alexandria University and Tanzanian ones.
Dr. El Kordy pointed these discussions to take all procedures for signing cooperation agreement between the two sides. Mr. Isa welcomed the visit of Alexandria University’s delegation for establishing pediatric surgery hospital in Zanzibar.
The Rector welcomed Tanzanian students for studying and training in the Faculty of Medicine international program.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mokhtar Youssef, the Vice President of university for Researches and Graduate Studies, Dr. Ibrahim Rehab, the Advisor of University President for African Affairs and Dr. Gihan Joefel, Vice President of university for Education and Students Affairs and international cooperation.
Alexandria University makes progress in QS Ranking
The President of Alexandria University Dr. Essam El Kordy announced that university classification has obvious progress in the British QS World Universities Ranking 2019 as it was listed in two of the main five sectors (Engineering, Technology, Life Science and Medicine) in addition to eight sub disciplines compared with total of six disciplines in 2018.
The Rector added that three new disciplines were added for Alexandria University that are; Architecture, Environmental Buildings and Computer Science.
It is worth to mention that QS Ranking depends mainly on academic opinion survey of experts from international universities and research institutions that represents significant progress in the quality of research and educational process in Alexandria University.
Alexandria University discuses creating joint programs with "Canadian Chardin"
The President of Alexandria University Dr. Essam Elkordi receives the University delegation of Canadian Chardin to discuss cooperation methods and create scientific degrees by joint programs. Dr. Elkordi stated that cooperation agreement was signed to start executive steps in creating these programs. The two parties agreed to provide summer courses for students in cooperation with Siemens Company.
The meeting was attended by the Vice President of Alexandria University for Education and Students Affairs Dr. Hisham Gabr and Dr. Gihan Goifel, the Vice President of university for international cooperation.
