Alexandria University Launches 9th Student Leadership Camp with 100 Participants
Alexandria University, under the auspices of Acting President Prof. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, has launched the 9th Student Leadership Camp for Student Union Members, organized annually by the University Student Union.
The camp brings together 100 male and female students from various faculties to develop their leadership, communication, teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. It also aims to familiarize participants with student union regulations and responsibilities, empowering them to represent their peers effectively, promote student engagement, and contribute to enhancing university life.
Republican Decrees Appoint Two New Female Deans at Alexandria University
Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, congratulated Dr. Bahia Galal El-Akhrety on her appointment as Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, and Dr. Soha Ahmed Amin Nasr as Dean of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education.
He wished them success in leading their faculties and advancing education and research.
Alexandria University Strengthens Its Research Standing, with 52 Scientists Named Among the World’s Top 2%
Alexandria University has achieved a new scientific milestone, with 52 of its scientists and researchers included in Stanford University’s list of the world’s top 2% scientists, compiled in collaboration with Elsevier, reflecting their international research impact.
Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, congratulated the listed researchers, praising their scientific excellence and the University’s continued efforts to advance research quality, innovation, and international collaboration.
The list includes 24 researchers in the Career-Long Impact category and 48 in the Single-Year Impact category for 2025, with 20 researchers appearing in both, bringing the total to 52.
Their research spans a wide range of disciplines, including chemistry, medical and pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, mathematics, physics, agricultural and biological sciences, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, materials science, and environmental sciences, highlighting the diversity and global impact of Alexandria University’s research.
Alexandria University Holds Its 23rd International Scientific Conference on “Digital Sustainability in Light of Egypt Vision 2030”
Alexandria University’s Faculty of Business held its 23rd International Scientific Conference under the theme “Digital Sustainability in Light of Egypt Vision 2030,” under the auspices of Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hakim, Acting President of the University.
The conference was attended by Dr. Affaf Al-Oufy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, alongside academic leaders, researchers, and specialists.
Discussions focused on digital sustainability, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital governance, financial technology, and digital transformation, highlighting the role of universities in promoting innovation, improving institutional performance, and achieving Egypt Vision 2030.
Alexandria University Launches Tree-Planting Campaign Under the “100 Million Trees” Initiative
As part of Egypt’s October Victory celebrations, Alexandria University, under the patronage of Acting President Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, launched a tree-planting campaign at the Humanities Complex under the presidential “100 Million Trees” initiative, in cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture and Alexandria Governorate.
The campaign was attended by Dr. Afaf El-Awfy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Heba Sabry Salama, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; faculty representatives, Alexandria Governorate officials, and university student scouts who participated in planting activities.
Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim highlighted that the campaign reflects the spirit of October victories through continued development and nation-building. Dr. Afaf El-Awfy noted that the first phase aims to expand green spaces and beautify the campus, while promoting environmental sustainability and volunteerism among students. Dr. Heba Sabry Salama reaffirmed the Faculty of Agriculture’s commitment to community service and sustainable development.
