 Why AU-Pace double degree program?

This 2+2+1 Dual Degree Program in Accounting offers a unique opportunity for students to gain multicultural experience while pursuing a master’s degree in accounting or accounting data Analytics and Technologies. The program is a collaboration between the Faculty of Business, Alexandria University in Egypt, and the Lubin School of Business, Pace University, in New York. The program provides students with the chance to earn two prestigious degrees from Alexandria University and Pace University. Students can also pursue their M.S. in Accounting or Accounting Data Analytics and Technologies.

Accreditation and Reputation

Both the Faculty of Business, Alexandria University and Lubin School of Business are leading business schools in Egypt and the USA, respectively. Both enjoy a long-standing reputation for academic excellence.

Curriculum

The curriculum of the International Dual Degree Program in Accounting is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in accounting principles, advanced analytical skills, and a global perspective. The program covers a wide range of accounting topics, including financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, and financial statement analysis. Students also have the option to specialize in accounting analytics, focusing on data analysis, business intelligence, and emerging technologies in accounting.

STEM Designation

For students who choose to pursue an M.S. in Accounting Data Analytics and Technologies, the program is classified as a STEM program, allowing for three years of post-completion internship training, known as optional practical training (OPT). The accounting analytics track focuses on advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, and technology-driven applications in accounting.

Admissions and Entry Requirements

Students should be admitted to the Faculty of Business, Alexandria University using standard procedures.

International students who wish to be admitted will have to apply through the “Study in Egypt” website https://admission.study-in-egypt.gov.eg/

Pace agrees to admit AU students in good standing who have completed the first two years of study at Alexandria University and who have completed the standard Pace admission process and satisfy all the Pace undergraduate admission requirements including having earned an overall 2.5 grade point average (“GPA”) for all courses completed at AU and a minimum score of 80 on the iBT TOEFL, IELTS 6.5, or Pearson score of 54.

Program Duration and Schedule

The International Dual Degree Program in Accounting is designed as a five-year program. Students spend the first two years studying at Alexandria University in Egypt, followed by two years at Pace University in New York. The final year is dedicated to completing the M.S. degree in Accounting or Accounting Data Analytics and Technologies at Pace University.
