The specializations of the Postgraduate Studies Department are: -

 - Work to accomplish the systems and rules established for postgraduate studies in the faculties and institutes of the university and to provide technical assistance in order to develop them and raise their efficiency and overcome the problems.

 - Follow up on scientific developments in the programs and methods of postgraduate studies and work to benefit from these developments in raising and improving the level of programs applied in the university's faculties and institutes.

 - Working on the formation of specialized technical cadres capable of increasing the level of performance in the field of postgraduate studies in the faculties and institutes of the university.

- Proposing systems, programs and methods of postgraduate studies in the faculties of the university.

 - Participating in the technical preparation of the meetings of the Council of Postgraduate Studies and Research at the university which is related to providing the necessary information and data and taking executive measures to implement his decisions.

 - keeping complete records and information about those who have obtained degrees.

 - Developing and designing systems for examinations, forms and necessary documents for this and circulating these systems among faculties and institutes and supervising their application.

 - Maintaining complete information about programs, methods and systems of postgraduate studies, its classification, and the preparation of a guide on it at the university level.

- Matching examination dates and session in accordance with the internal regulations of faculties and institutes.

 - Follow up the duties of the faculties for postgraduate students to be shown to the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

 - Propose policies to ensure cooperation and coordination between departments and similar materials in the faculties.

 - following up on the master’s and doctoral theses registered in the faculties and noting the availability of registration conditions and following up on students ’cases.

 - Taking measures to approve faculty councils’ decisions by forming committees to judge thesis, approving results and certificates and awarding academic degrees.

 - Developing and designing integrated systems for admission, registration and examinations affairs and the generalization of those systems.

 - Receiving and registering data for international students and notifying the concerned authorities.

- Taking measures to implement the decisions of the Council of Postgraduate Studies and Research regarding the amendment of the internal regulations of the faculties.

- Maintaining integrated records and data on postgraduate studies programs, methods and systems, classifying them, preparing a thereof guide at the university level, and recommending faculties to prepare their own guides.

 - Follow up the implementation of plans and systems for postgraduate studies in faculties and take the necessary measures in case of discovering abuses on their part.

 - Conduct research and studies on postgraduate studies programs, methods and systems and analyze their compatibility with the requirements of society and developments in science and knowledge.

 - Follow up on global developments in the programs, methods and systems of study and extract what It can be applied and studied thoroughly.

 - Studying the equivalence of academic degrees for foreign universities with degrees granted by Egyptian universities.

 - Assisting faculties in preparing and developing graduate studies regulations and responding to their inquiries in this regard.

- Designing integrated systems for admission and registration affairs for international students, documents and forms necessary for this and designing those intercollegiate systems.

- Research and suggest exemptions from previously obtained academic subjects without obtaining academic degrees and shown them to the competent authority.

 - Take the necessary action towards requesting faculties and institutes to amend their internal regulations regarding to the postgraduate studies and make the necessary proposals to the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

- Take the executive measures and implement of the decisions of the Councils of Education and Student Affairs and Postgraduate Studies & Research on foreign students.

 - Assisting the faculties in implementing the decisions of the Councils of Education and Student Affairs and Postgraduate Studies & Research on foreign students.

 - Conducting studies and research on the development of systems and regulations for graduates and postgraduate students.

 - Issuing the decisions of the President of the University regarding granting academic degrees and registering them in the records prepared for this and transferring them to issue the certificates for students.
