Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, inaugurated the activities of the Cultural Day for expatriate communities and international students, which is organized by the Department of Foreign Student Affairs and Welfare at the university in cooperation with the General Administration of Youth Welfare, in the presence of several consuls and diplomats of the participating countries. The event was also attended by foreign counsellors, cultural attachés, international students at Alexandria University, and a group of university guests from 16 Arab, African, and Asian countries.
During the activities of the cultural day, Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa inspected the booths that were set up in the five-a-side court at the university stadium, including heritage artifacts that express the history of each country, as well as food, drinks and traditional clothes that characterize each of the communities. He praised the outstanding efforts exerted in organizing this carnival day. He also stressed that this day is a good opportunity for brotherhood among peoples, especially foreign students studying at Alexandria University, as it is among the strategic goals of Alexandria University to achieve an ideal atmosphere for these students in their second country, Egypt.
