
As part of Egypt’s October Victory celebrations, Alexandria University, under the patronage of Acting President Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, launched a tree-planting campaign at the Humanities Complex under the presidential “100 Million Trees” initiative, in cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture and Alexandria Governorate.
The campaign was attended by Dr. Afaf El-Awfy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Heba Sabry Salama, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; faculty representatives, Alexandria Governorate officials, and university student scouts who participated in planting activities.
Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim highlighted that the campaign reflects the spirit of October victories through continued development and nation-building. Dr. Afaf El-Awfy noted that the first phase aims to expand green spaces and beautify the campus, while promoting environmental sustainability and volunteerism among students. Dr. Heba Sabry Salama reaffirmed the Faculty of Agriculture’s commitment to community service and sustainable development.
