The Graduate Studies and Research Council of Alexandria University held its regular meeting, chaired by Dr. Affaf Al-Oufy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development and Acting Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research.

Dr. Al-Oufy congratulated faculty members, postgraduate students, and researchers on the start of the 2026/2027 academic year, affirming the University’s commitment to providing full support to researchers, streamlining academic procedures, and facilitating the registration and progress of master’s and doctoral theses.

She emphasized directing research toward national and societal priorities, promoting international publication in prestigious scientific journals, and further enhancing Alexandria University’s research standing and international ranking.

The meeting also addressed mechanisms for gathering postgraduate students’ feedback through surveys aimed at identifying their needs and challenges and improving the services provided to them. Special attention was given to international students and scholarship recipients from Nile Basin countries, with continued efforts to provide them with a supportive and attractive academic environment.

The Council also discussed postgraduate curricula and regulations, university libraries, scientific journals, and research publication.
