Alexandria University’s Community Service and Environmental Development Sector Council reviewed preparations for the new academic year, ongoing digital transformation, and upgrades to educational laboratories. The council also discussed expanding Micro-credential programs, offering 3–6 month skills-based training in business, technology, engineering, and medical fields, targeting postgraduate students and graduates.

The council highlighted the success of the university’s “Ensat” support platform, which provides psychological and social consultations and refers cases requiring specialized care to the Faculty of Medicine.

It also congratulated the Department of Libraries at the Faculty of Arts for winning first place in a national hackathon for its project “Kahraba: A Digital Community Memory of Alexandria’s Tram.”

The meeting further addressed cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), outreach activities for secondary-school students, occupational safety, infrastructure maintenance, and the sector’s activities and events during August.
