Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture, accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, visited the University's branch in N'Djamena, Chad, to inspect the final construction and equipment works ahead of its official opening in May 2027.

During the visit, the delegation reviewed the academic buildings, medical center, and other facilities of the new campus, which will accommodate around 6,000 students. The Minister praised the progress of the project and reaffirmed its importance in strengthening academic cooperation between Egypt and Chad and supporting higher education across Central and West Africa.

Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim highlighted that the branch currently offers programs in Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, with 128 graduates to date, and announced plans to introduce new programs in Computer Science, Nursing, and Business Administration starting in the 2027/2028 academic year. He added that the new campus will include a medical center, a dairy production facility for practical training, and modern educational infrastructure, making it a flagship model for the internationalization of Egyptian higher education.
