As part of Alexandria University's commitment to developing students' personalities, enhancing their leadership skills, and promoting the values of volunteerism, Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, attended the closing ceremony of the 45th Scout Festival and the 17th Guidance Course for the University's Rover and Ranger Scouts. The ceremony concluded with the honoring of the winning scout teams and outstanding students. The event was attended by Dr. Hanan El-Sherbiny, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing; Dr. Mohamed Bahaa El-Din, University Coordinator for Student Activities; Dr. Sameh Nakhla, Executive Director of the Faculty and Leadership Development Center; Mr. Shehab Mahrous, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare; Mr. Sameh Hamouda, Director of the Scouting Department; in addition to a number of university leaders, faculty members, scout supervisors, and participating students.

In his address, Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim expressed his pride in the outstanding performance and positive spirit demonstrated by the Rover and Ranger Scout teams throughout the festival. He praised the students' commitment, discipline, and teamwork, noting that these qualities reflect the core values of the scouting movement and its vital role in preparing a generation characterized by awareness, initiative, leadership, and teamwork.

The Acting President affirmed that student activities constitute one of the fundamental pillars of Alexandria University's vision for developing well-rounded students. He emphasized that such activities are an integral partner to the educational process, contributing to the development of leadership skills, nurturing talents, promoting volunteerism and a sense of belonging, and preparing graduates equipped with academic excellence, creativity, and a strong commitment to community service. He also commended the students' artistic works and handicrafts, which showcased the remarkable talents and creativity of Alexandria University students, encouraging them to continue actively participating in the University's diverse extracurricular activities to gain valuable experience, develop their personalities, and strengthen their sense of belonging and teamwork.

At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim honored the winning scout teams, faculties, and students, presenting them with shields and certificates of appreciation. He congratulated the award recipients on their achievements and extended his sincere appreciation to the General Administration of Youth Welfare, the Scouting and Public Service Department, the judging committees, and all those involved in organizing the festival for their dedicated efforts in delivering a distinguished event that reflects the prominent status of student activities at Alexandria University.

The festival results saw the Rover Scout teams of the Faculties of Women's Sports Sciences, Nursing, Science, Fine Arts, and Medicine achieve first place. The Faculties of Arts, Economic Studies and Political Science, Tourism and Hotels, Computers and Data Science, Agriculture, Education, and Agriculture (Saba Pasha) secured second place, while the Faculties of Specific Education, Pharmacy, Law, Early Childhood Education, and Engineering ranked third.

The ceremony also honored the festival and guidance course leadership team, in addition to the recipients of the individual awards across various categories. The event concluded with commemorative photographs of the honored students in a celebratory atmosphere that reflected pride, cooperation, and fair competition, embodying Alexandria University's commitment to supporting student activities, strengthening the values of belonging, and preparing young leaders capable of serving their communities.
