Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hakim, Vice President of Alexandria University for Education and Student Affairs, affirmed during the meeting of the Council for Education and Student Affairs held today that the final examinations of the first semester are proceeding smoothly and regularly across the various faculties of the university. He emphasized the university’s commitment to implementing all necessary organizational measures and arrangements to continuously monitor the examination process and ensure its stability.

The Vice President explained that the university has provided an appropriate environment to ensure students’ comfort and safety during examinations. All preparations and logistical arrangements have been completed across university faculties, including the examination committees and halls, the timely announcement of examination schedules, and the formation of examination control rooms, ensuring a suitable examination environment. This is in addition to full compliance with health and safety instructions and preventive measures, the provision of various forms of care and support, and the presence of medical teams to deal immediately with any emergency cases.

Dr. Abdel Hakim also noted that appropriate facilities have been allocated for students with disabilities, with all necessary accommodations provided to ensure that examinations are conducted smoothly and fairly, within a framework of equal opportunities.

He stressed the importance of the regular presence of faculty members, teaching assistants, and administrative staff in examination halls throughout the examination period, as this plays a vital role in ensuring the proper conduct of the examination process. He also directed that marking and examination control procedures be completed promptly and that results be announced as soon as possible, in the interest of students and in adherence to the established academic timetable.

Furthermore, Dr. Abdel Hakim emphasized the pivotal role of faculties in activating the academic advising system, highlighting its importance in guiding students, familiarizing them with academic rules and regulations, assisting them in selecting appropriate academic pathways, and addressing any academic challenges they may encounter, thereby positively reflecting on their academic performance and overall academic stability.

The Vice President of the University also praised the efforts exerted by the University’s faculties, in cooperation with the Center for Educational Innovations and Distance Learning, to activate the electronic university textbook system. He emphasized that this system contributes to strengthening the presence of Egyptian universities in international rankings and protecting the intellectual property rights of faculty members. He also stressed the necessity of completing all aspects of the system before the start of the Spring 2026 semester.

Dr. Sameh Nakhla, Director of the Center, added that the system is currently witnessing significant development to present academic content in an engaging manner for students, in implementation of the University’s vision for the digital transformation of the educational process.

During the meeting, the Council extended its congratulations to the Faculty of Engineering on the occasion of the issuance of a decision by the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education approving a number of academic programs for the academic year 2024/2025. These included the Mechanical Engineering Program, the Communications and Electronics Engineering Program, and the Electrical Power and Machines Engineering Program, in addition to conditional accreditation for the Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture Program. This achievement reflects the faculty’s academic excellence and commitment to international quality standards, strengthens its position among leading universities, and crowns its efforts in preparing qualified engineers capable of meeting labor market needs.
