Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, on the occasion of the presidential decree appointing him as Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, wishing him continued success in his new responsibilities.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Abdel Hakim obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Dental Medicine and Surgery in 1992, a Master’s degree in Prosthodontics in 1996, and a PhD in Prosthodontics in 2001, in addition to being a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists. He advanced through academic and administrative positions until he was appointed Professor of Prosthodontics in 2013, then Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry for Postgraduate Studies and Research in 2019, before assuming the position of Dean of the Faculty in December 2020.
Dr. Abdel Hakim also holds several prestigious scientific and professional positions, most notably membership in the Dentistry Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities, and the Higher Scientific Committee of the Egyptian Board. He has also been Governor of the International College of Dentists (ICD) – Egypt/Sudan Section and Chair of the North Africa Section of the Pierre Fauchard Academy (PFA) since 2016. Furthermore, he is a member of several distinguished international scientific associations, including the International Society of Computerized Dentistry (ISCD), the Alexandria International Association of Dental Implantology, and the World Institute for Laser Applications. He also serves on the editorial boards of the Alexandria Dental Journal and the Scientific Archives of Dental Sciences.
