The Community Service and Environmental Development Council, chaired by Prof. Said Allam, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, discussed the requirements of the university’s faculties and institutes regarding the development of lecture halls and classrooms. The plan aims to upgrade facilities, equip them with smart interactive screens and data show devices, and transform them into interactive smart halls that support the educational process at Alexandria University. Prof. Allam emphasized that this development aligns with the directives of Prof. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, on the need for continuous enhancement of the university’s educational infrastructure and improvement of the academic environment for faculty members and students, in line with the university’s strategy to keep pace with rapid developments in education.
The council was also briefed on reports submitted by the Faculties of Arts, Medicine, Pharmacy, Physical Education in Abu Qir, Fine Arts, Agriculture (Saba Pasha), Nursing, and Early Childhood Education, as well as the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research, regarding their community service and environmental development activities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, council members honored Prof. Said Allam on the occasion of reaching the statutory retirement age and the end of his tenure as Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development. The council affirmed that this honor is a recognition of his dedicated efforts and sincere contributions during his service, which significantly advanced the sector. Prof. Allam expressed his deep appreciation for this gesture, extending his thanks to Prof. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of the University, and the council members. He noted that such recognition reflects the spirit of loyalty and belonging that characterizes the university family, and prayed for continued success in serving the nation and advancing the educational system at Alexandria University.
