As part of Alexandria University's celebrations of the Glorious June 30 Revolution, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Popular and Military Defense Forces, represented by the University's Military Education Department, organized two excursions for students during the month of June. These visits aimed to enhance students' awareness of the state's major national and development projects.

The first visit was to the greenhouses at the Mohamed Naguib Military Base, where students learned about the latest modern agricultural technologies and methods for achieving food security, which are important strategic projects for supporting the national economy and achieving self-sufficiency.

The second visit was to the giant fish farms in Ghalyoun, the largest projects of their kind in the Middle East. These projects aim to bridge the gap in fish production and provide high-quality food products at reasonable prices, contributing to improving food security and supporting exports.

These excursions come as part of raising awareness of the importance of comprehensive development projects implemented by the state in various sectors, such as agriculture, fish farming, infrastructure, industry, and energy. These projects aim to achieve sustainable development and improve citizens' quality of life, contribute to creating new job opportunities, support the national economy, and enhance Egypt's regional and international standing.

Colonel Mohamed Maher, Director of the Military Education Department at Alexandria University, emphasized that these visits are part of the Armed Forces' commitment to educating university students about the importance of national projects and highlighting the efforts made to achieve sustainable development in various sectors. He pointed out that these field experiences help students realize the extent of achievements on the ground and strengthen their sense of belonging and loyalty to the homeland. Maher added that the Popular and Military Defense Forces continue to organize such purposeful visits and activities to prepare generations that are aware of their nation's issues and qualified to participate effectively in building the future.
