Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, received Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, today, Saturday the 14th of June 2025, at Alexandria University Headquarters. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Minister's discussion of the doctoral dissertation submitted by researcher Commodore/ Samer Mustafa Hassan, from the Faculty of Physical Education for Men at Alexandria University in Abu Qir. The dissertation was titled "A Marketing Strategy for New Sports Markets in the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports."

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ali Abdelmohsen, Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Asaad El-Kiki, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education for Men, Dr. Safaa El-Sherif, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Alexandria, and Dr. Mohamed Sobhi, Professor of Cardiovascular Diseases.

During the meeting, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Ministry and universities to enable young people to benefit from the latest technologies and knowledge in the fields of youth and sports, building a new generation that is aware and armed with culture and national sense of belonging. He also praised the capabilities and sports facilities at Alexandria University and their role in organizing various sports competitions and activities in the governorate, highlighting the close cooperation between the Ministry and the university in organizing various activities and events.

Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa emphasized the university's commitment to continuous communication and cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, through various events and activities aimed at fostering and honing students' energies, discovering talented individuals, and guiding them to benefit from these joint activities. He also pointed to the availability of sports facilities at the university for various sporting events and activities, serving university students and the youth of Alexandria Governorate in general.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, presented the university's shield to Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports.
