Under the patronage of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, and the supervision of Dr. Afaf Khamis Ibrahim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Sport Sciences for Girls, in cooperation with the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit, organized an awareness seminar entitled: "Occupational Health and Safety Rules in Sports Facilities." The event was attended by Dr. Doaa El-Dardiri Abou El-Hassan, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Sabrine Atiya Mersal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

This seminar comes within Alexandria University's keenness to promote a culture of occupational safety and apply quality standards across its facilities, ensuring a safe environment that supports the educational process and sports activities, and achieves the highest levels of security and safety for all.

The seminar was delivered by Dr. Nadia Lotfy Abdel Fattah, Professor of Sports Management and Executive Director of the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit at the faculty. She provided a specialized presentation supported by practical examples that contribute to creating a safe environment in sports facilities. At the end of the seminar, a discussion session was held, allowing participants to ask questions and further enrich the event.

Dr. Doaa El-Dardiri Abou El-Hassan, Dean of the Faculty, explained that the seminar aimed at raising awareness of occupational safety principles in sports facilities and enhancing protection against potential risks. The seminar addressed the importance of implementing occupational health and safety regulations, mechanisms for applying them within sports environments, and identifying potential risks that may face workers and facility users, as well as the necessary protection and prevention procedures. She also emphasized that the faculty will continue to organize seminars and training programs to support community awareness of safety issues and prepare qualified cadres capable of managing risks and handling emergencies professionally and in accordance with international standards.

Dr. Sabrine Atiya Mersal stressed that the faculty attaches great importance to occupational health and safety topics, noting that such events contribute to building an aware university community capable of protecting its human resources and ensuring the safety of its facilities.
