Dr. Maha Adel, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing in Alexandria University declared that the faculty organized its 14th Conference on 10, 11 December 2017. The conference was held under auspices of AU President Dr. Essam El-Kurdi under the title "The role of nursing in leadership and progress of comprehensive health".

The conference adopted recommendations to apply international standards for the safety and health of the patient in all health sectors and to repeat the interactive workshops of infection combating between the various health institutions and the Faculty of Nursing in order to develop one indicative guide. It also recommended to identify the challenges and obstacles that face the health sector in the field of health care quality, as well as to create channels of joint scientific research between health institutions and the Faculty of Nursing.
