Goals

1. It aims to change behaviors and urge citizens to participate in preserving the environment and natural resources to ensure their sustainability in order to preserve the rights of future generations.

2. It sheds light on the role of youth in preserving the environment and conserving natural resources, and working to integrate them further in environmental work.

3. The initiative relies on continuing efforts and actions to address air pollution, including air quality improvement activities and support for air quality monitoring.

4. The initiative aims to support and enhance the digital goal that was set "for the first time" in the framework of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development "Egypt 2030", which aims to reduce solid particle pollution by 50% by the end of 2030.

5. Increase the number of monitoring stations in the national network for monitoring ambient air quality (currently 102 ) and the target is to reach (120 stations by 2030 ) spread across all different regions of the Republic.

6. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the conservation and management of nature reserves at global levels to ensure the balance and biodiversity of ecosystems while maximizing opportunities for economic and social development.

7. The campaign aims to support the economy, increase competitiveness and create new jobs as Egypt fulfils its international and regional commitments to international conventions in order to maintain the sustainable use of natural resources as an inherent right for future generations.

8. Afforestation of fields in cooperation with the concerned authorities in the governorate.

9. Integration of environmental concepts in educational curricula, through the cooperation protocol between the Ministry of higher education and the Ministry of the environment.

Activities and Achievements:

• Implementation of the mechanisms of support procedures provided to the university by the Ministry of environment for the number of 300 fruit trees and afforestation of the buildings of the initial phase of the new university facilities.
• Alexandria University's plan for the "Prepare for Green ... Prepare for the Future" initiative.

• A meeting was held with the governor of Alexandria to discuss the participation of cooperation between the University and the governorate in the implementation of the plan of the University of Alexandria for the urban green initiative ( Sidi Jaber area) in cooperation with the Environmental Affairs Authority in Alexandria with the university to implement a number of programs and environmental topics for students and employees of all faculties and institutes of the University which aims to environmental awareness and the importance of preserving the environment and includes.
