Alexandria University sent recently a delegation to Iraq includes all of Prof.Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Abu She'eer, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Prof.Dr. Ihab Hammad, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry as a contribution from Alexandria University in the development of university education system in the Arab world, and opening prospects for cooperation with brotherly Arab countries, to contribute to the construction of educational institutions.
 
Where they met with the Board of Directors of Al Farheedi Educational Foundation  in Iraq, to find out all the details for the establishment of a branch of Alexandria University in the southern city of Basra to serve the city and the neighboring cities, in addition to opening advisory offices to serve the Iraqi society,and follow-up processing laboratories and administrative offices. Meanwhile, Dr. Osama Ibrahim, the university president pointed out that will be provided educational cadre in all disciplines for faculties, and will develop appropriate scientific methods.
 
 
 
 The Egyptian delegation was accompanied by Dr. Khalaf Abdul Samad, governor of Basra, Prof. Abdullah Aernosy, the Egyptian consul in Basra, and Dr. Mohammed Taey, Undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education, in addition to members of the Board of Directors of Al Farheedi Educational Foundation, all of whom have expressed their full support for the establishment of a branch of the university in Iraq, and their willingness to cooperate for the success of this project and provide all the necessary approvals and facilities.
