  • The International Branch Campus of Alexandria University is located in the Chadian capital,“Ndjamena”. It is the first branch of an Egyptian university in the Francophone region, which comes through the Alexandria University’s keenness to deepen and consolidate Egyptian relations and ties with the countries of the African continent politically, economically,culturally, and scientifically.
  • The primary goal of establishing the Alexandria University Branch in N'Djamena - Chad is intellectual advancement through university education, scientific research, serving Chadian society, developing human values, and advancing it culturally. Also, providing Chad, African countries and others with specialists, technicians and experts in various agricultural and veterinary fields according to the needs of the labor market , as Chad is distinguished by its increase in livestock .It was decided to establish a basic list of the Alexandria University Branch in Ndjamena - Chad by a decision of the Minister of Higher Education and the State for Scientific Research in the Arab Republic of Egypt No. 2460 dated 8/25/2010, after reviewing the President’s Resolution No. 300 of 2009 and the scientific cooperation protocol between the Alexandria University and Ndjamena University in Chad the singed on April 30, 2007.
  • The Alexandria University Branch in Ndjamena - Chad includes two colleges based on the requirements of the Republic of Chad: -
    First: The Faculty of Agriculture has four years duration and offers 55 courses.
    Second: The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has five years duration, and allawed 41 courses. As there are some courses in the College of Veterinary Medicine that are completed during the course of the first and second semesters of the academic year.Knowing that each college has two programs, one in Arabic and the other in French.
  • The actual study of the Alexandria University Branch in Ndjamena - Chad began in the academic year 2011-2012 at the headquarters of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, which is affiliated with the University of N'Djamena, in the Farsha region, N'Djamena - Chad, until now, 2023.
  • On 04/02/2016, the Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University Branch in Ndjamena - Chad, officially graduated (20 students) its first cohort with a delegation from the Arab Republic of Egypt headed by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Al-Shehi, Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Rushdi Zahran, President of Alexandria University, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Jaber, Vice President of the University, and His Excellency the Chadian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Hassan Makai Taiso, His Excellency the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Chad, Ambassador Adham Mohamed Najib, and Professor Dr. Mohamed Alaa Abdel Qader, coordinator. Branch in N'Djamena.
  • The Minister of Higher Education also participated during the visit in laying the foundation stone for the Alexandria University building in N'Djamena, Chad, which includes three faculties: Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine as the first stage and Pharmacy as the second stage. During the ceremony, his Excellency delivered a speech that highlighted the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries.
  • According to the Egyptian ambassador stated that the visit involve the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Egyptian Ministries of Higher Education and its Chadian counterpart. This includes providing a number of scholarships to Chadian students in Egypt while exempting them from tuition fees, and establishing student exchange programs between the two countries.

  • On May 4, 2017, a graduation ceremony was held for the first cohort of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Alexandria University branch in Ndjamena - Chad. The celebration was attended by Professor Dr. Hussein, Secretary of State for Higher Education and Scientific Research of Chad, and Professor Dr. Ali Abdel Rahman Hajjar , the Chancellor of N'Djamena University, Mr. Mohamed Salah El-Din, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Egyptian Embassy in Chad, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Alaa Abdel Qader, the branch coordinator,in N'Djamena,and selected members of Parliament, public figures, and members of the teaching staff Alexandria University Branch in Ndjamena - Chad, delegates as experts to the agency Statement of the Partnership for Development of the Ministry of the Secretary of State,Egyptian and a large number of graduates’ families. The number of graduates reached 40 students, including 15 students from the Arab section and 25 students from the French section.
  • The Chargé d’Affaires delivered a speech emphasizing the consolidation of historical relations between Egypt and Chad, highlighted to the importance of the role played by the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development, affiliated with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs,in Africa.This is the result of years of efforts, and the continuation of the distinguished and pioneering role played by the agency in cooperation with the Alexandria University branch in N’Djamena. He stressed the contribution of graduates to the development process in Chad, including improving the living and economic standard of farmers and developing livestock, which will have It has a significant impact on the development of Chadian society.

On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, a graduation ceremony was held for the second cohort of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Arab and French) and the second cohort of the Faculty of Agriculture at the Alexandria University branch in Ndjamena - Chad. The celebration was attended by Professor Dr. Hussein Massar, Secretary of State for Higher Education and Scientific Research of Chad, Professor Dr. Noreen Suleiman Noreen (Deputy Secretary- General of the Ministry of Higher Education, and Professor Dr. Tayeb Idris Hulu, former President of the National Academy of Education in Eastern Chad, and former Minister of Justice of the State of Chad Previously, the Vice President of the University of N’Djamena for Education and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohamed Bahieeldeen Mohamed , the branch coordinator,in N'Djamena,and selected members of Parliament, public figures, and members of the teaching staff Alexandria University Branch in Ndjamena - Chad, delegates as experts to the agency Statement of the Partnership for Development of the Ministry of the Secretary of State,Egyptian and a large number of graduates’ families. The number of graduates reached 26 students, including 13 students from the Faculty of Agriculture are Arab, and 11 students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine are Arab and two students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (French).

On March 4, 2020, Dr. Essam Al-Kurdi, President of Alexandria University, and Engineer Mohsen Salah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Contractors Company, signed a contract for the construction of the buildings of the Alexandria University Branch in the city of N’Djamena in the State of Chad. This contract includes the implementation of the work of the first phase of establishing the two colleges of agriculture, and veterinary medicine at the branch, where the Arab Contractors Company will carry out the construction process in accordance with general conditions, technical specifications, measurements and engineering drawings. His Excellency the President of Alexandria University explained that the relationship between Alexandria University and Africa began in the sixties of the last century, through cooperation with many African universities and the presence of a large number of students. Laboratory, animal anatomy, and a factory to study animal behavior, an operating room, the buildings of the Alexandria University branch were established in the Tukara - Ndjamena - Chad (the first stage) under the supervision of the Arab Contractors Company, at a cost of about 29 million dollars, and the completion rate was 80%. The first stage includes the establishment of the Faculties of Agriculture and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine on an area of 3,000 meters. Each college consists of a ground floor and 2 frequent roles. The total area of one building of each college is 1500 meters. Each college has 2 main halls with a capacity of 150 students / hall, as well as 4 secondary halls, with 80 students / hall. A large number of administrative rooms and restaurants for faculty members for each college. It is in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine 4 chemistry laboratories, computer clinic, and living quarters for animals. At the Faculty of Agriculture, there are 3 chemistry laboratories, a water and soil laboratory, a dairy plant, and a plant to study plants.

The first cohort was graduated in the academic year 2016-2017 for students .In this academic year 2023-2024, the third cohort will graduate, and this cohort is shared for each of the College of Agriculture (16 Arab students, 24 French students), and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (11 Arab students, 18 French students).

On August 12, 2017, Prof. Dr. Essam Al -Kurdi, President of Alexandria University, received a delegation from the University of N'Djamena in Chad, headed by Prof. Dr. Al- Tayeb Idris Halouo, President of the National Academy of Education in East Chad, formerly the former Minister of Justice for the State of Chad, and Vice President of the University of N'Djamena for Education and Student Affairs and Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Zain Jumaa, Director of Research and Cooperation at the University of N'Djamena, to discuss ways to develop the Alexandria University Branch in N'Djamena - Chad.

On August 17, 2017,Alexandria University honors the students of its N'Djamena branch at the conclusion of the training program at Alexandria University under the patronage of Professor Dr. Essam Al-Kurdi, President of Alexandria University, and the distribution of certificates to seven students from the Faculty of Agriculture, and to eleven students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Alexandria University's N'Djamena Branch - Chad, who were hosted by the University Alexandria for 4 weeks of training in kidney laboratories, veterinary convoys, and visiting some major farms, agricultural and veterinary bodies within the Alexandria Governorate, and feed manufacturing companies with the aim of strengthening their skills and qualifying them for the labor market, in addition to organizing an educational and entertainment program in addition to field training to introduce the history of Egypt and Alexandria.

On August 4, 2021,Prof.Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University discusses with the delegation of the University of N'Djamena in Chad ways to develop the branch. Prof.Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, received a delegation from the University of N'Djamena in Chad in 4 August 2021 , headed by Dr. Mohamed Saleh Dosa,and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ahmed AbdAllah Zaki, Coordinator of the Alexandria University Branch, N'Djamena Chad,to discuss ways to develop the branch in order to achieve sustainability and provide a good educational service for the students of the branch. The President of the University of N'Djamena also praised the strong relations between the two countries, which opened up prospects for cooperation between the two universities, explaining that the State of Chad is concerned with agricultural aspects and the development of livestock, and the University of Alexandria, through the branch, had a major role in achieving these development goals.

Within the framework of consolidating ways of cooperation between Alexandria University and African countries, and in implementation of the directives of Prof.Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of the University, the Centre for Capacity Development of Faculty Members at the University presented a training course for 7 faculty members of the University of N'Djamena in Chad, during the period from the 15th until the 22nd of March 2023, Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdullah Zaki, Coordinator of the Alexandria University branch, N'Djamena Chad.

On June 15, 2023,The visit of His Excellency Ambassador / Osama Al-Hadi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the State of Chad, to the Alexandria University branch building in the Tokra region - N’Djamena, Chad, in the presence of His Excellency Engineer / Mohamed Al-Qai’i, Director of the Arab Contractors in Chad, and in the presence of the General Coordinator of the University Branch, Prof. Dr./ Mohamed Ahmed Abdallah Zaki and a group of faculty members at the University of Alexandria and the University of N'Djamena, on June 15, 2023. After his Excellency inspected the buildings of the Alexandria University branch building in the Tokra region - N’Djamena, Chad, he thanked Mr./ Engineer Mohamed Al-Qai’i, Director of the Arab Contractors Company, for the efforts made by the company in the State of Chad and in African countries, especially after the completion of the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the State of Chad in N’Djamena, which was opened last March. He received the admiration of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Chad, Mohamed Idriss Déby Itno, and he also thanked the engineers responsible for these achievements.

His Eminence affirmed that the buildings of the Alexandria University branch N'Djamena- Chad will become a beacon of knowledge in the State of Chad and neighboring African countries. It will provide a package of good educational services to Chadian students, strengthen relations between the University of Alexandria and the University of N'Djamena, and open new horizons for cooperation between the two universities. The branch also has a role great in developing Agricultural and livestock aspects.

On August 27, 2023,Alexandria University Honors Students of its Ndjamena Branch after Training Program at Alexandria Campus.Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of the University, the Faculty of Agriculture in Shatby hosted today, Sunday the 27th of August 2023, at the closing ceremony and distribution of certificates to students of the Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at the University’s branch in Ndjamena - Chad, who were hosted by Alexandria University for a period of 4 weeks for intensive training in the laboratories of the two faculties. During the training, the students participated in veterinary convoys, and visited some of the major farms and agricultural and veterinary bodies within the scope of Alexandria governorate, with the aim of enhancing their skills and qualifying them for the labour market. In addition, a cultural and recreational program was organized for them, as well as field training to introduce the history of Egypt and Alexandria. The certificates were distributed to the students by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Bahi El-Din Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Sami Khalil, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and Prof. Dr Mohamed Ahmed Abdallah Zaki, Coordinator of the Alexandria University Branch in N'Djamena Chad.
