"Veterinary Medicine" obtained accreditation from NAQAAE
Dr. Rushdy Zahran, President of Alexandria University declared that the total number of faculties and institutes of Alexandria University, which was accredited by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education became 11 faculty and institute.
This came after the meeting held in the Faculty of Engineering with Prof. Dr. Johansen Eid, the Manager of NAQAAE on the occasion of opening of a branch of the authority in AU. During the meeting, it was announced that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine obtained the accreditation.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Essam El-Kurdi the University Vice President for Community Service and Environment Development, Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz Konswa; Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Nazem; Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Kamal Metwalli, Director of Quality Assurance Center of AU and a group of teaching staff members.

(Alexandria university), Announces the launch of general external tender for purchasing a two renewable Energy systems each of 50 Kw to generate electricity. The first one is PV off-grid system and will be installed El-Behera Governorate. The second system is Hybrid 50 kw PV/ Biogas system will be installed in Alexandria Governorate. The PV is 20 kw unit will be connected to the national grid while the biogas unit will be integrated with solar thermal water heating system and used for 30kw Biogas Generator. The tender Package can be obtained from Faculty of Agriculture, EL-chatby, Alexandria. The price of the tender Documents is 200 LE or its equivalent in Euros.
The primary insurance for bidding is 3200 Euros or its equivalent in Egyptian Pounds. Upon award, the amount of primary insurance will be increased to 5% of the system price. Renewing the membership of Breast Health Unit in the "Medical Research Institute" under the Breast Centers Global Network
Dr. Mohamed Mukhtar, Dean of Medical Research Institute addressed sincere congratulations to the Breast Unit in the Surgery Department Medical Research Institute - Alexandria University on the occasion renewing its membership in Breast Centers Global Network.
It is worth to mention that the unit is the first Breast Health Unit in Egypt to join the International Foundation of Breast Tumors Centers since 2012.
A symposium at the Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Science discusses the threats of the Egyptian national security services
The Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Sciences, under the auspices of Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, President of Alexandria University, in cooperation with the Nile Center for Media, headed by Amani Sareeh, and the Association for International Law Studies, headed by Iman Khattab, organized a symposium entitled “Threats of Egyptian National Security Services” delivered by Major General A.H. Wael Rabie, advisor to the Center for Strategic Studies at the Nasser Higher Military Academy, and journalist Moataz El-Shennawy, deputy editor-in-chief of Al-Gomhouria newspaper.
Memorandum of understanding between the High Institute for Public Health and the University of Maryland, USA
Alexandria University Graduate Studies and Research Council adopted, at its meeting held recently, headed by Dr. Sediq Abdul Salam, the University Vice President, a memorandum of understanding for academic cooperation between the University of Maryland, USA, and the High Institute for Public Health, Alexandria University for cooperation in the field of education and scientific research with respect to bioethics and bio medicine research.
