In continuation of the discussions that took place last month between Pofessor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, and Dr. Ammar Al-Houri, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Waqf Al-Bir wa Al-Ihsan (Endowment of Righteousness and Charity) in Lebanon - and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Beirut Arab University, and his accompanying delegation, the two sides met last week in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, with the aim of continuing coordination And cooperation between Alexandria University and Beirut Arab University through academic, scientific and research relations.

During the meeting, an understanding was reached to renew the cooperation agreement between Alexandria University and Beirut Arab University in light of the close and historical relations between the two sides, provided that the signing will take place soon in Egypt in the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It was also agreed to establish a mechanism for appointing the new president of Beirut University Arab University to assume his duties after the end of the term of Dr. Amr Al-Adawy, the current president of Beirut Arab University, at the beginning of next August.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Wael Nabil Abdel Salam, Vice President of Alexandria University for Education and Student Affairs, and a number of members of the Board of Trustees of the Endowment of Righteousness and Charity and Beirut Arab University.
