It is required for student's registration to obtain Master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies that:

1. Student must have obtained a bachelor's degree with a grade of "Good" at least or equivalent from one of institutes recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities.

2. Before enrollment in the program, student should advance to the determined level of English language according to Faculty Council decree.

3. Student submits application form in August of each year and faculty council shall take a decision regarding it upon a proposal from the related department board. The enrollment date shall be the date of council approval.

Secondly: Conditions to obtain the degree

1-   Student should follow study according to study systemas below.

2-   Student must success in ten courses with accumulative grade of C+ at least.

 3. After student had passed the courses successfully with an average grade CGPA of at least C+ -or the student submit a thesis in subject the Faculty Board approves on it.

Thirdly: Study hours for the program

- The student study 45 credit hours divided as following:

1- Student must study 4 international compulsory courses with a total of 12 credit hours during the study period

2- Student must study 3 local elective courses with a total of 9 credit hours during the study period

3- Student must study 3 local elective courses with a total of 9 credit hours during the study period

4- Student must participate in a workshop with a total of 3 credit hours during the study period

5- Registration and preparation for the thesis with a total of 12 credit hours

6- In the beginning of the fourth semester, the department chooses scientific supervisor for each student in order to supervise the preparation of research plan and the thesis.

7. Student prepares a thesis in a subject approved by the Faculty Council. The Council can give the student overtime of one semester as maximum upon proposal from the Department Board.

8. Student passes public oral test in his thesis subject in front of a committee formed by the Faculty Council upon the Department Board proposal and according to the rules of graduate studies regulation at the faculty.

Fourthly: Course evaluation rules

The course is evaluated for each student according to the conditions contained in Article (7) from the regulation of graduate studies with credit hours system in the Faculty of Commerce, Alexandria University.
