Registration requirements:
1. Student must have obtained a bachelor's degree in agricultural science or corresponding disciplines in other colleges from one of the universities or institutes recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities with a grade of at least good (C +).
 
2. Faculty Board can accept student's registration who has obtained a Bachelor's degree in a different specialization up on a proposal from Department Board after passing a number of supplementary courses of Bachelor's level which the department considers important. This should be in such a manner that the number of those courses does not exceed four courses. In Case of the supplementary courses are more than four courses, the student must study a qualifying year to success in these courses as a condition to register for master's courses. Those courses are not counted for the student in program hours.
 
 
3. The student who obtained a grade of Acceptable in Bachelor and wishes to register for master's degree in accordance with the faculty regulation, he must obtain a specialized diploma with a grade C+ at least.
 
4. After student had passed the courses successfully with an average grade CGPA of at least C+ -or the student shall register in additional courses or repeat some courses to improve the average grade CGPA- the Department Board shall propose the supervising committee and then the student applies to register for the thesis. According to some study program system this can be done after the student had passed at least 30% of courses hours successfully with average grade CGPA of at least C+.
 
5. Student displays research plan to the Department Board in a seminar before applying for thesis registration.
 
6. Obtaining the International Computer Driving License ICDL and determining the level of foreign language are two conditions to obtain a master's degree, before discussing the thesis and according to the organizing decisions issued by the University Council.
 
7. After the students had succeeded in all courses of the degree with a cumulative grades average CGPA of at least C+ and thesis completion, the thesis validity report is submitted to Department Board.
 
The Master Degree is conferred to students who passed discussion of their scientific thesis and the cumulative grade points average CGPA is not marked in the master's certificate.
 
Hours of study for the program:
1.In order for the student to obtain a master's degree, he must study 30 credit hours with at least 50% of them are core courses of the scientific department student enrolled in (including 6 hours of compulsory courses - to be from the list of core courses). With the need for the student to study the courses of Statistics and Experimental design by 3 credit hours within the total number of hours of study in addition to 8 credits of the thesis so the total number of hours to obtain the degree is 38 credit hours. In addition to the above, student must pass the course of Scientific Rules for Thesis and Research Writing 00,650 (without credit hours) as an internal requirement to get a degree.
2. The minimum period to get a master's degree is two years at least since student registration for the study for the degree.
 
Supervisory Authority:
1. Up on a proposal of department board, Faculty Board approves the formation committee supervising on the student registered for a master's degree in accordance with the research plan in the department. Committee is formed of professors or professor assistants. The lecture can participate in the supervision, so as the number of supervisors does not exceed four members.
2. If the student made a research outside the university, it is allowable up on faculty approval to participate in the supervision one of specialists holding Ph.D. in the area of specialization from the party the research was made in.
 
 3. Supervisory Committee member should not be more than four members and not less than three and the principal supervisor to be from the university and in case of presence of interface specialties a fifth supervisor can be added.
 
4. In case of travelling of any supervisor who has less than one year on supervision so Faculty Board can remove his name from the Supervisory Committee on the proposal of the Department Board. In case of seconding the supervisor after one year of effective supervision so he should submit a scientific report on the thesis before traveling.
 
5. The supervisors on thesis write periodically report on student progress every six months from the date of registration for research plan and is signed by the Supervisory Committee combined. In case of committee members' opinions dissimilarity, the scientific department studies the situation and takes the proper decision. Reports are approved by the department board and Graduate Studies Committee in the faculty and the student is notified through graduate management with the Supervision Committee opinion on the extent of his progress in the thesis (To continue registration or warning the student with thesis registration cancelling).
 
6. Student's registration is canceled if three periodic reports were issued stating that his performance is not satisfactory, after sending him three warnings.
 
 The jury:
After preparing the thesis, the Supervisory Committee submits with the following to the relevant department board in preparation of submission to the Faculty Board:
1. Report on thesis validity to discussion indicating what he the researcher had done, and is signed by all supervisors. Also supervisory committee introduces a proposal to form the judging panel for the thesis. In case of travelling any supervisor, he sends letter or fax within two weeks stating his agreement on what came in the validity report. If there is no reply asking him again to send the report, and in the absence of his agreement within two weeks on the validity report this is considered as an agreement.
 
 2. Up on the proposal of the relevant Department Board, the Faculty Board forms the judging panel on the thesis of three members, one of them is thesis supervisor and the other two members are from professors and professor assistants in universities and committee head is the oldest professors and. In case of multiple supervisors they can involve in the committee but have one vote. It is allowable that the both members or one of them are of the former professors or those who in their scientific level of specialists provided that at least one from outside the faculty. Judging panel formation is approved of the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research.
 
3. Discussion can be accomplished in the presence of a representative of the Supervisory Committee in the jury if other supervisors can not attend.
 
 4. If the thesis did not discussed within the three months from the date of university approval to form the jury, committee approval is repeated with the same members again and in case of that the committee did not set committee formation is changed with another committee.
 
 
 5.Each member submit an entire and individual report on the validity of the thesis for discussion and the combined committee discusses the student openly in thesis content and research topic. The committee shall submit a detailed collective report of discussion result to be introduced to Department Board and then the Faculty Board. The jury can recommend giving thesis back to the researcher to complete any lack committee see and to submit a collective report to the related department to recommend granting an extra period to complete its observations within six months as maximum from the date of the discussion provided the jury or who authorized shall agree to approve the thesis.
 
6. In case of opinion dissimilarity between Supervisory Committee members in any matter concerning the scientific research and supervision and committee formation, the issue is raised to the competent Department Board and it's decision in this case is obligatory for Supervisory Committee members after approval by the Faculty Board.
