The faculty of Nursing provides a twelve months training program for its graduates to ensure their high standards of nursing competencies. The interns’ training is accomplished in Alexandria University Hospitals. The training involves most of nursing specialty as: adult care, critical care, pediatric, obstetric and administration. The supervision is conducted by the faculty to coordinate the training with the University Hospitals. The faculty of Nursing – Alexandria University has the preceptorship system to provide the interns with direct supervision and guidance and to integrate with the hospital head nurses in evaluating the interns conduct. The internship system was established since 1996.
