“Role of Engineering Towards Better Environment” RETBE’21
Towards achieving the 2030 vision, the Faculty of Engineering at Alexandria University is hosting the 12th International Conference “Role of Engineering Towards Better Environment” RETBE’21. The theme of the conference this year will be “Vision 2030: Engineering Challenges in the Midst of the Pandemic”.
The conference will be held from 20 to 22 December 2021 in Alexandria, Egypt. It continues to uphold the mission of the preceding successful series of RETBE conferences that started over 20 years ago, emphasizing the challenges facing the environment and the need for innovative actions and policies.
RETBE’21 conference is to bring together innovative Academia, Industry and Government in the fields of: Engineering, Technology and Environment to a common platform where researchers, scientists, and engineers can exchange their findings with global experts and officials.
Within the 2030 vision, the conference provides attendees and participants with the opportunity to share their experiences and ideas with peers from various parts of the world with the purpose of helping delegates to foster business and research relations for collaboration in the future
Applications of genomics in health and social development
Under the patronage of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Alexandria University organized, this morning, Tuesday, November 30, 2021, the first scientific conference for genomics in Alexandria under the title “Applications of genomics in health and social development, in Dr. Abdel Aziz Bilal Hall, At the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University, in the presence of Dr. Ashraf El-Ghandour, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Wafaa El-Sahly, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Othman, President of the Egyptian Authority for Compulsory Training of Physicians at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and Dr. Heba Qassem, Rapporteur of the Genome Scientific Committee at Alexandria University, members of the Genome Scientific Committee, Deans and Vice Deans of Alexandria University faculties and institutes, and genome researchers.
The President of Alexandria University meets the Iraqi ambassador
Today, Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, received Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi, Ambassador of the State of Iraq to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and his accompanying delegation, to discuss ways to strengthen joint cooperation between Alexandria University and Iraqi universities in the research and academic field, joint supervision and the exchange of faculty members And students by signing joint cooperation agreements, and discussing ways to provide care and support for Iraqi students studying at Alexandria University.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ashraf El-Ghandour, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Wael Nabil, Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Amin Mustafa, Acting Dean Faculty of Law, Dr. Hala Makled, Executive Director of the Department of Expatriates Affairs at the university, and the delegation of the Iraqi Embassy.
